WordPress Sites.
WordPress started as a blogging tool, but has become the most popular content management system. BitMojo can help you create a custom WordPress site or branded social network that is easy to update.
Theme Frameworks
Genesis
BitMojo uses the Genesis Theme Framework to customize WordPress. The advantage of a theme framework is that your site can be updated to work with new versions of WordPress, without losing the customization. Genesis is a commercial theme, so it includes automatic updates just like WordPress, and has many powerful features for managing the layout and functionality of your site.
Base
BitMojo also uses the Base framework from Graph Paper Press to create custom WordPress sites. It includes a "theme options framework" for customzing the design, and an "application framework" for adding "apps" to the theme.
Child Themes
StudioPress
StudioPress child themes are used to customize the look of the Genesis Theme Framework. This means these themes can be customized, and the Genesis framework that they use to work with WordPress can be updated without having to re-do the customization work. BitMojo customizes StudioPress themes to fit the specific needs of our clients.
Graph Paper Press
Graph Paper Press child themes customize the look of the Base framework. These themes are modern, media friendly, and easy to customize using child themes.
Social Networks
BuddyPress
BuddyPress is the official plugin for turning WordPress into a social network like Facebook. In addition to WordPress blogging, BuddyPress supports friends, private messages, activity feeds, groups and forums.
GenesisBuddy
GenesisBuddy is a child theme that allows the Genisis Theme Framework to be used with the BuddyPress social networking plugin for WordPress. This enables BitMojo to quickly turn a customized WordPress site into a branded social network. Add-ons are available to make StudioPress child themes work with GenesisBuddy.
Forums
bbPress
bbPress is forum software from the makers of WordPress. It can be used to add forums to a WordPress site, with visitors able to use a single username and password to participate in both the WordPress site and the bbPress forums.
